Now you can create audio without saying a single word yourself!

December 14, 2009

When it comes to creating and editing audio most bloggers don’t want to learn how to create audio podcasts or do not like their own voice enough to give recording a try.

Well, there are a couple of ways to create audio products without having to say a single word!

One way is to visit a site like Nextup at nextup.com and take advantage of their software called TextAloud which uses synthesis to convert your text into spoken audio. The only disadvantage to using a system like this is the fact that the voice can sound a little robotic but there are more natural sounding voices available.

The other alternative is to join a membership site like Monthly Products, which provides that audio content for you and gives you either resale rights or private label rights to use the material. Obviously if you want to put it on your blog you will need private label rights so that you are free to use it without restrictions (you should always check what restrictions apply before joining any site) and you may decide to include some on your blog and keep others as a way to build your subscriber list.

Armand Morin runs a great service that provides monthly audio interviews with experts that you can then use either as products that you sell or as audio that you place on your blog (maybe as a teaser to selling the actual audio product.) There are so many different ways you can use the monthly product audios and it will save you hours of having to put it all together yourself. Take a look at what’s on offer at monthly products

When creating audio and video podcasts always consider your audience

December 14, 2009

The one question you must ask before creating audio and video is who do I want to reach?
It is important you spend time thinking about who your target audience is when you set out to create audio and video podcasts because they are a wonderful way to build your subscriber base but only if you know who you are reaching out to.

Going off topic is easy when creating an audio, especially if you do not have a clear plan in front of you to follow that tells you who you want to reach and what you want to say to them and it is the same when creating a video. The worst thing you can do is create a video that doesn’t focus in on the people you are trying to connect with online.

As you begin to record your podcast keep your target market in mind and ask yourself – what message do I want to leave them with and what action do I want them to take after listening?

Again, you this is highly important because it will help you to focus on exactly what to say and ensure that somewhere in your message you get across the very point you want them to know or learn from having listened to you.
Creating audio and video podcasts can be time consuming so you don’t want to leave yourself with a bunch of multimedia material that you can’t use because it hasn’t targeted in on who you are talking to – or even worse, it brings entirely the wrong person to your website.

If you have difficulty deciding who you are targeting then it is likely that your whole business needs to be looked at because knowing who your target market is and what you want to say to them is the one of the most important parts of running an online business that can not be ignored.

Creating audio and video podcasts is a really great way to get yourself known online because it helps you to build your reputation and audience but only if you know who you are reaching out to so spend time considering who your audience is, what you want to say to them and what action you want them to take as a result of listening to you.
